What shapes your configuration?

These project inputs help us discuss suitable equipment for your load and site.

01

Load & lifting interface

Define the complete lifted weight, dimensions, centre of gravity and approved pick-up points.

02

Yard geometry

Share travel lanes, storage positions, gate clearances and ground conditions.

03

Movement & control

Describe lifting, positioning, turning and shift requirements for the operation.

A straddle carrier is a mobile handling machine that spans a load within its frame, lifts it and carries it to another position. It combines lifting and travel for yard or industrial handling operations.

Brochure-listed straddle carrier models

Ruiding’s supplied catalogue identifies eight versions with 35, 60 or 80 t lifting capacities. Compare the intended application, frame geometry and attachment before selecting a model. A nominal lifting capacity alone does not establish compatibility with your load.

Where this equipment fits

  • Container movement between storage and loading positions.
  • Energy storage cabinet and container handling, subject to an approved lifting interface.
  • Industrial loads that need to be lifted and carried within a gantry frame.

Plan the load and the route

For a straddle carrier, load width and height are as important as mass. The load must fit within the frame, and the lifting interface must match its designated lifting points. Review access clearances and the turning path with the loaded machine, rather than considering the empty carrier alone.

Equipment-specific project inputs

Project input What to confirm
Load envelope Gross mass, width and height, including any fixture or lifting attachment.
Clear frame dimensions Required space around the load and the clearance available at doors or overhead structures.
Lifting interface Approved pick-up points, attachment drawing and required placement height.
Loaded manoeuvring Pick-up positions, turning space and interaction with other site traffic.
Ground conditions Surface, gradients and ground-bearing information along the loaded route.
Handling cycle Travel distances, moves per shift and time available for energy replenishment.

The table describes information needed for selection. Rated performance and the offered configuration are confirmed in an individual equipment proposal.

Selection questions for this equipment

Can one carrier handle several load shapes?

Only if the proposed frame and lifting attachments suit every load. Send drawings for each load family and confirm the usable envelope and interfaces in the proposal.

How does this differ from a transfer cart?

A straddle carrier combines lifting with travel around a spanning frame. A transfer cart carries a supported load on a deck and needs a defined loading interface. Compare the equipment by the full handling sequence.

Prepare your equipment enquiry

Use the RFQ checklist to organise load drawings, route and duty information, then send your project requirements. Read the project FAQs for quotation and service questions.
